Insert a Message on Unit statements

These messages are inserted in three places, depending on how you would like them to operate. They operate on a hierarchical structure, with the lowest (Unit) level, overriding all messages above, relative to itself.

For example - If a message is captured on an Agent,  it will print on every unit in every Property that is linked to that Agent.  If one of the Properties has it's own message, it will override the Agent message and print on all of the units in that Property.  If one of the Units' has it's own message, it will override both the Property and Agent message.

There is a facility to capture one message, in addition to the above, that if captured, will override the above rules, and print on all unit statements.  This is usually used for seasonal greetings, and for important announcements.  Remember to remove any message when it is no longer applicable. This message is captured using the following menu item:

Menu: Administration, System Setups and Utilities, Global Unit Statement Override Message

Insert Messages:

Menu: Maintenance. For your Business, Maintenance - Agent, Field 16

A message inserted on an agent will print on every unit statement on every unit of every property under the agent, unless a message is entered on the property level or unit level below.

Menu: Agent/Business Menu, Agent Property Debtors, Maintenance - Property, Field 26

A message inserted on a property will supersede any message entered on the agent level above, and print on every unit within the property, unless a message has been entered on the unit level below.

Menu: Property Menu, Property Debtors, Maintenance - Unit, Field 15

A message entered on a unit will supersede any message entered on either the agent or property level, and will print on that units' statement.

These messages will usually appear below the name and address on the Unit statement.  It is important to insert a message, and check that it looks reasonable on your particular statement layout, before doing your unit statement print run.
