General batch and screen rules

These rules apply to most input screens using the 'Blue Screen' Emulator.

- Enter 'NEW' in the batch number field for the next available batch number or a previously filed,   unposted batch.

- The Default description will be the default line description if entered.  It can be left blank.

- The batch total is entered and must balance to the total of the transactions entered, else posting will   not be allowed. For general ledger batches, no total is required as the total must be zero.

- A  '#'  will delete the line, if entered on the first field of the line. (hash).

- A '.' will cause the cursor to drop to the bottom of the screen if entered at the beginning of a line, or to the beginning of the next line if entered in the line. (full stop).

- The bottom of the batch contains the following options:

                                         to each field.

'E3' enter will take the user to the first edit able field of the screen and

                                         then to each field.

 -  Field (N)umber - to go directly to a particular field on the screen. '3' enter will go straight to field 3
