Default permissions apply to any user who does not have specific permissions assigned.

A locked library cannot be modified. Effectively, write and delete permissions are removed for all users.

Forced sequencing prevents inadvertent overwriting of document images by adding a sequencer to all sub IDs.

Aliases are alternate library pathnames, one per line. If a library has been moved to a new disk location, hardcoded links to documents in that library will fail. By providing former disk pathnames as aliases, such invalid links will be modified dynamically to target this library.

Libraries assigned to a given category are listed under the designated category header when searching and browsing libraries. This can be helpful in cases where there are many libraries, some of which might be rarely used.

Note: deleting a library doesn't physically delete the archive data from the server. It simply removes the library name from the list of libraries. If a library should be physically deleted, the data files must be removed from the library path using the server's operating system. The files are /library/path/store.*, including all sub-directories in store.img.
