Forms

Any custom web forms that are associated with search operations are displayed when you choose the Forms button, if the user has been granted access to a specific form or forms.

The example below is a custom form to print a formatted search report which is returned to the desktop as a PDF file.

Note that with custom java scripting and custom UnForm rule-set scripting very advanced processing methods can be employed using search results as a launching point.

In this example, only a single form is available to a "general" (non-saved) search.

Hovering over any of the bulleted form names will show them as a link that can be taken.

Clicking on the Search Report link calls up the custom form.

There is nothing else to specify (no other input dialogue fields) in this simple form, it just displays some details from the current search, and waits for a form 'Submit' button to be pressed.

Pressing submit launches a process that communicates the request to the UnForm server, which processes an associated custom script to take the search list documents and present them in a formatted report.
