The UnForm server samples/ folder contains a demo CSV file named 'UnForm.Test.AddressBook.csv" which can be used to demonstrate the import function on your system.

Place the demo file in a folder that is accessible to your archive browser session.

Use the 'Browse' button to navigate to it and select it.

Use the 'Upload' button to perform the import.

There is a final confirming prompt where you must type the word "IMPORT" to proceed, as a way to prevent inadvertent address book updates.

When the import is complete a list of imported records and fields is displayed with an indication of the action taken on each, since it is possible for entries to be deleted if the CSV file contains null data fields.

The 'Address Books' link at the top of the page closes the import list display page and displays the first page of entries in the address book that records were imported into.

To provide for further security over possible inadvertent address book data loss, it is possible to backup the current address book before importing records from a CSV file.

Backup current address book file -- creates a backup copy of the current address book, overwriting any previous backup file of the same address book, if it exists. You are prompted to confirm an overwrite of any previous backup files.

Restore address book from previous backup -- if a backup copy of the current address book already exists, this  link is displayed to enable you to revert to a previous version of the address book.
